Meet Valeria from Valencia

Wine, culture and the stories that bring Valencia to life

Hello, and welcome.

I'm Valeria Valdebenito, founder of Ambia Tours, creator of Private Tours Valencia and founder of BlancoTinto.com, an online wine shop dedicated to carefully selected wines.

For more than 25 years, I've been guiding international travellers discover Valencia beyond its landmarks. I believe travelling becomes far more rewarding when you understand the stories, traditions and people that shape a place. That idea continues to guide every experience I design.

A Different Way to Discover Valencia

My role is not simply to guide visitors through a city or a wine region.

I help travellers discover the identity of Valencia through its history, gastronomy, local traditions and wine culture, always adapting each experience to their interests and curiosity.

Whether we're wandering through the historic centre, exploring the Central Market, visiting artisan workshops, discovering family-owned wineries or sharing a traditional meal, my goal is always the same: to create meaningful conversations that help you connect with the destination.

Because understanding a place always leaves a deeper impression than simply seeing it.

Understanding Valencia Through Wine

Wine is one of the most fascinating ways to understand a territory.

Every vineyard reflects its landscape, every bottle tells the story of the people behind it, and every tasting opens a window onto the history, traditions and gastronomy of the region.

As a Certified Sommelier, WSET Diploma holder and Weinakademiker, I enjoy making wine approachable for every traveller, whether you're taking your first wine tour or already have extensive knowledge.

You don't need previous wine experience—only curiosity.

Professional Expertise & Recognition

My work combines more than 25 years of experience in tourism with over 15 years specializing in wine tourism.

I am an official licensed tourist guide of the Valencian Community, guiding visitors in Spanish, English, German and Mandarin Chinese. Living across different languages and cultures has helped me understand how travellers experience a destination in different ways, allowing me to adapt every tour to the people in front of me.

Beyond guiding, I remain closely connected to the Spanish wine world through founder of BlancoTinto, an online wine shop, where I carefully select wines from family wineries and independent producers. This ongoing work allows me to stay in constant contact with winemakers, new vintages and the evolving wine landscape, bringing that knowledge into every wine experience I lead.

During the pandemic, I also wrote "The Best Bike Tours In and Around Valencia", published on Amazon, with the aim of helping visitors discover the city and its surroundings from a different perspective.

Alongside my professional qualifications, my tasting skills have also been recognized internationally. I was part of the team in the World Blind Tasting Championship Winner (2023), achieved 4th place at the World Blind Tasting Championship in France, and later qualified with my tasting partner for the Vila Viniteca Blind Tasting Competition (2024), one of Spain's most respected wine competitions.

Growing up in Valencia within a Chilean family has given me a multicultural perspective that helps me connect naturally with travellers from different countries and backgrounds.

My Philosophy

I believe the best travel experiences begin with curiosity.

They grow through conversation and leave you with a deeper understanding of the place you've visited.

My goal is never to impress you with information, but to help you experience Valencia in a way that feels personal, authentic and meaningful.

The Meaning Behind My Logo

The key in my logo represents the idea that has guided my work from the very beginning: helping you unlock the authentic character of Valencia.

It is inspired by four elements that define this Mediterranean region:

The Light Which shapes our landscapes, architecture and way of life

guía def_alcachofa pGastronomy Rooted in the fertile orchards and seasonal produce of the Valencian huerta

guía def_vino pThe Wine A gateway to understanding our culture, traditions and identity

guía def_torre pThe History The thread that connects the past with the Valencia we experience today

Valeria is a wonderful person and extremely knowledgeable about wines and the Requena Utiel wine region. She speaks several languages and shared many interesting facts with us during our day trip.
