One of the questions I am often asked after a wine experience is: Which Valencian wines should I take home?

My answer is rarely just one bottle.

Valencia has a remarkably diverse wine culture, shaped by Mediterranean landscapes, native grape varieties, historic vineyards and a new generation of producers who are interpreting the territory in their own way.

That's why I created Valeria's Valencia Wine Selection: six Valencian wines personally chosen by me to help you continue discovering the region from home.

My Criterion Behind Every Bottle

Choosing six wines from Valencia means deciding what I believe is genuinely worth sharing.

My selection is informed by more than 15 years specialising in wine tourism, my professional sommelier training, the WSET Diploma and Weinakademiker qualification—but also by something equally important: years spent visiting wineries, walking through vineyards, meeting producers, tasting wines and sharing them with travellers.

I don't select a wine simply because it has a prestigious label or a high score.

I look for quality, identity and a genuine connection with the territory.

Each bottle should have something to say about where it comes from: a native grape variety, a particular landscape, a winemaking tradition, the vision of a producer or the changing identity of Valencian wine.

These are wines I know, trust and believe are worth sharing.

There is no single definition of Valencian wine.

The Valencian Community brings together very different landscapes, climates, grape varieties and winemaking traditions.

That diversity is precisely what I want this selection to reveal.
