Discover the Albufera Natural Park on a private experience that connects Valencia's history, agriculture and gastronomy. Cruise across the peaceful lagoon before enjoying authentic Valencian paella with regional wines in the place where this iconic dish was born.
This is not an standard tour to the Albufera Natural Park. It is a whole context to understand how landscape, agriculture and tradition gave birth to Valencia's most iconic dish: paella.
I'll collect you from your hotel in Valencia before we drive towards the Albufera, with a brief stop at the City of Arts & Sciences to appreciate the city's contemporary side. Soon afterwards, we'll reach a completely different landscape where rice fields, freshwater lagoons and Mediterranean wetlands have shaped local life for centuries.
As we explore the Natural Park, I'll explain how Arab irrigation systems transformed the region, why rice became part of Valencian culture and how this unique environment made paella possible.
A private boat awaits us for a peaceful cruise across the lagoon, offering a perspective of the Albufera that few visitors experience. Surrounded by nature, you'll discover why this protected landscape remains one of Valencia's greatest cultural treasures.
Our experience concludes beside the lake, where a local paella master prepares an authentic Valencian paella following traditional recipes. Together we'll enjoy a menu with local starters, paella, dessert, drinks and coffee, accompanied by regional wines that reflect the Mediterranean character of the area.
Every experience is private and tailored to your interests, allowing time for conversation, questions and a deeper understanding of the territory through its food, wine and traditions.
